The assurance of salvation is not based on feelings, dreams, or impressions, but on simple faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. In Christ we are crucified, buried, raised, and seated in heavenly places—already forgiven, already accepted, already children of God. True forgiveness, peace, and eternal satisfaction in trusting the Savior alone.

How are we to be protected from the worst kind of deception of all—self deceit? Well, blessedly, while the dangers are real, we have not been left without hope by our heavenly Father. That hope is found in humility.

True growth in the Christian life comes only through the Word of God, received with prayer, meditation, faith, and obedience. We need these things to live out God’s truth in practice. Seek not half-hearted religion, but the fullness of God revealed in His Word and enjoyed through communion with Him.

May we be those who love correction because we yearn above all things to be like Jesus—more than we want to be "right" or comfortable—to be like Him and near Him.

Don't chase after fleeting pleasures or put off faith. True joy and lasting happiness are found only in Christ. Embrace Christ! Embrace the cross! Real life and real happiness begin the moment we give ourselves entirely to Jesus Christ.

Paul was a person who knew what it was to face constant hardships in his walk with Jesus. And yet in all the trials he faced, he was a man content and fully trusting of God, knowing the peace and joy of God throughout his trials.

Our lives are not our own. Are you willing to give back to God what He freely gives?

Now little known, in his day R.C. Chapman (1803-1902) was a friend and spiritual mentor to some of the most famous Christians of the time. Men like Hudson Taylor and George Müeller regularly looked to Chapman for his wisdom and godly character.

Salvation rests only on Jesus' finished work, and our holiness comes from the Holy Spirit and daily strength comes from His abiding presence. We are called to rest in Christ alone, to walk with Him in holiness, and to find unshakable joy in His promise: “I am with you always.”
