“Lo prometo”.

Muy a menudo, esta frase se pronuncia de forma casual, a su vez sin pensar siquiera en sus implicaciones y su valor. Tal vez cumplamos nuestra promesa, pero ¿cuántas veces no cumplimos con las expectativas de nuestras palabras? Si somos sinceros con nosotros mismos, es difícil cumplir nuestras promesas. Sin embargo, cuando Dios dice “lo prometo” o “lo haré”, podemos estar seguros de que lo cumplirá.

“Is the Holy Spirit for you?”

This is not a question of self-help, but a rhetorical query to open our eyes to the yes and amen of God’s promise to His children: the outpouring of His Holy Spirit. Tozer asks pointed questions in How to be Filled with the Holy Spirit to help us overcome our sin, our unbelief, and our lack of zeal. A spirit-filled life is to be the norm for all believers, but, as Tozer says in his book, we live lives that are spiritually sick and far from the lives expected of a believer. Take courage, brothers and sisters. He is not for the elite, super Christian, but for the ordinary man and woman: The Holy Spirit is for all of us!

Spiritual gifts have been a subject that has caused controversy within the Church for many years. Questions like, “Do the gifts still exist?” or, “What are the gifts of the Holy Spirit?” have sparked debates and lead to confusion. Yet, that isn’t just a problem for today, but a topic that Paul addressed with the church in Corinth thousands of years ago. Paul’s teaching in 1 Corinthians gives us clear direction on what the gifts of the Holy Spirit are and how they function. This booklet looks more in depth into this teaching, helping us to see how the gifts continue to be utilized today for the building up of the body of Christ. May He who gives generously equip you to do His good works and fill you with faith to trust His leading!

No one enters Christian ministry with a desire to one day burn out or fall into sin. And yet, in whatever realm of service you find yourself, you will find that many Christian ministers do just that. Spiritually Healthy Ministers is a curriculum that will help anyone serving God to come face-to-face with God’s Word to recognize both the good and bad habits that affect their ministry. The curriculum will take the minister through a series of teachings with the goal of diagnosing bad habits in the hope that the minister, through repentance, will be restored into Spirit-led and sustained ministry of the gospel once again.
